Student placements at St Albans
St Albans pre-school offers placements to students that are working towards a qualification in childcare and education. We have good working relationships with two major training providers; these are Sandwell College and Platinum Training.The Majority of our students upon completion of their level 2 go on to complete a level 3 qualification, and with the help and constant support of the dedicated staff often further their careers by gaining full employment. Currently the pre-school has places for 14 students and these are all filled at present. Donna Lewis the Deputy Manager is the student and volunteer co-ordinator, she helps and supports them throughout their placements.

I have learnt a lot working here, such as team work. I have been able to do my NVQ comfortably here and I would recommend other students to choose St Albans for their placement."

"I joined St Albans pre-school setting to do an NVQ 2 in September 09. I have achieved a lot in this period. The staff are so very helpful and supportive whenever I need them.
In the last eight months I have learnt so much about children and their development and now clearly have a greater understanding about childcare.
