IMPORTANT CHARITY APPEAL:
Find out how you can help Lauryn Lee.
At the Mayor's Reception on Monday 18 July, 2011, Mayor Mrs Joyce Underhill presented St Albans' with a 'Certificate of Appreciation' for the Association's 'outstanding service to the community'. The event was held at the Council House in Oldbury, and St Albans was only five recipients of these prestigious awards, given for recognition of good work done in the borough.

St Albans is a medium-sized charity, providing a wide range of services to the local community. We pride ourselves on the warm, welcoming environment, with caring staff, who understand the needs of those who use the services available.
The charity was established in 1983, with the commitment of a number of people, including Pat Ryan, who remained on the Board until 2009. Although Pat is not directly involved in St Albans, she is still to hand for the support and advice we all need from time to time.
The organisation is funded by several means, including the local authority, individual grant funders, donations and charges for services.
St Albans prides itself on supporting members of the local to participate in a wide range of activities to improve their lives.
