The Gateway Club is a group for adults with learning difficulties, and has been running for almost 40 years. Originally, the group took over the club in December 2005, which had previously been based in Tividale Community Centre. There, they had 2 rooms – one in which members could play their music, and one where they participated in various activities.

It is a voluntary club, run each Monday evening from 7–9pm.
In September 2009, the group moved to St Albans and it was a really good move, as members now have one big room, where they can interact. We still have the music, but most members do other things as well.
We make things, play bingo and darts, have pool tournaments and teach phonics, to name but a few of our activities. All our members enjoy coming to the club, now it is at St Albans, as the centre is always warm, clean and welcoming.

Kitchen facilities are available to the group, and provide an excellent place for us to run our tuck shop. Here, we also have our own cabinet, where we can keep all our bits and bobs, instead of having to take them back and forth each week.
All club members are really pleased that the move to St Albans was made, and the committee are too!
