Garden Pata

In August 2006 St Albans Community Association and Spot On carried out a partnership project to benefit 23 children aged 8-12 years, who took part in The Garden Pata - Mural Project.

Combining story-telling and visual arts the children worked alongside professional artists to make 5 mural panels, each based on folktales taken from the different cultural groups that have made their home in Smethwick. The murals have now been installed in the pre-school play area and are used for pre-school storytelling sessions.
