We sorted out bric-a-brac, clothes, shoes, toys, a raffle, a cake stall and refreshments. This was a triumphant event, with around 80 people attending throughout the day. Fun was had by all involved.

The Big Lunch

Events Events

This year, St Albans was successful in obtaining £400 from the Local Authority, to bring members of the local community together, and encourage the local Asian, African-Caribbean and Irish communities to come together with centre members, to exchange experiences of their own cultures.

The deputy Mayoress opened the event and stayed for lunch with the local community, she commented that the work carried out at St Albans was impressive.

The event provided an opportunity for everyone to sample foods from the various parts of the world – encouraging different tastes and experiences for everyone.
