Spot On Drama Project

The project that took place was a supported workshop, which ran over a four day period from 16/2/09 untill 19/2/09. There were 20 participants engaged in a theatre based workshop. Two actors from sideways theatre worked with the young people to theme a presentation involving current issues that enabled the young people to make a positive contribution about issues that concern them and their community.

The participants were drawn from the local community and the children in need services.

There was a variety of activities on offer such as group games, drama games and a final presentation from each individual group; these presentations were VT'D so that the young people could reflect on their contributions.

The project was an overall success meeting all the estimated outcomes from the original application from the funding that enabled the work shop to take place , funding was granted by the Grass Roots programme.
